Fish List
A list of all the fish I wish I had. There isn't any useful fish keeping info on this page, as, while I've been interested in aquariums for many years, I have very little fish-keeping experience. Just little blurbs about why I like them and how I plan to keep them.
Neon TetraScienctif nameI though these guys were super basic for the longest time, but now I see them as more of a classic. Plus, they look great in a blackwater set-up. Suposedly they're not very hardy anymore due to exessive breeding. Sad. |

Pigmy Coryscientific nameThese have such cute little faces and I love the way they school. There on list of potential candidates for my blackwater aquarium too, but, they're kinda pricey. |
Enderler's LivebearersScientific nameSince my shrimp jar failier I've been thinking about setting up a 'hard water' ecosystem, for species that like there water with more minerals than come from my tap. These cuties would probably be the only fish, living with snails and a shrimp collonny. |

Otocinclus CatfishScientific nameAdorable little sucker! I love the way it red spots look like blush! |
Blue Ram CyclidScientific nameI wasn't interest in ciclids because they have mean looking faces but, I dunno, these are cute. They'd go well in 54L blackwater tank but I worry about keeping them warm enough. |

Honey GouramiTrichogaster chunaThese are so fucking cute! I love their happy yellow colour. Honey Gouramis are a generaly peaceful, tropical fish considered good for beginners (which I am). I want to keep these in a small-ish community tank with some of the other members on this list. |
White Cloud MinnowTanichthys albonubesAn understated cutie, hardy too. A small school will be going in the community tank with the gouramis. There's also a gold coloured variety, which I prefer, but I fear they would steal some of the spotlight. |

Red Cherry ShrimpNeocaridina davidiNot giving up on cherry shrimp yet! They will be back! |
Queensland Algae ShrimpScientific nameI want to add a crustacean to the community tank. Turns out amano shrimp are illigal in australia so these are the native alterantive. |

Betta imbellisI love the glowy scale against the dark background. There's something very cool about the way wild type bettas stand in contrast to their heavily domesticated cousins. I'd like to keep one in a blackwater set up. Where I live, I can easily get free botanicals from native trees :❩ |

Mystery SnailPomacea bridgesiiTo be fair, I'm not very familiar with snails and these are really the only ones I know anything about. Love their long tentacles. |
Plakat BettaBetta splendensMy first fishy love. These days, I'm far less enamored with domestic betta compared to a few years ago. When my aquatic obsession began, I dreamt I'd divide a 60L tank and keep two or three I like the red ones best. |
